Invisible Text for WhatsApp

Published · Updated · By InvisibleChar

Want to send a blank message on WhatsApp without typing a space that looks empty? This page copies invisible text that WhatsApp accepts as a real message. Paste it into any chat, status reply, or group and hit send — the bubble appears, but the text stays blank.

Most people get the best results with Braille Pattern Blank (U+2800), defined in the Unicode Braille Patterns chart. It survives WhatsApp's filters better than a plain space or a zero-width character alone. Pick a length, copy once, and paste whenever you need a silent reply.

How to send a blank WhatsApp message

Select Braille Pattern Blank above (it is preselected for WhatsApp). Choose length 1 for a single blank bubble, or 10–50 if you want a taller empty message. Tap Copy Invisible Text, open WhatsApp, paste into the message field, and send.

On iPhone and Android the flow is the same. If paste seems to do nothing, the characters are still there — check the character counter on this page, then use the test box to confirm before you paste into WhatsApp.

Blank WhatsApp status and group chats

Invisible text also works in group chats when you want a quiet reaction. For status replies, copy a short string and paste as your reply. Some older WhatsApp builds strip zero-width spaces, which is why Braille Blank is the safer default here.

If a blank message fails to send, switch to Hangul Filler (U+3164) and try again. Avoid relying on a regular space key — WhatsApp often blocks empty spaces even when the field looks blank.

Tips that keep blank messages working

Copy fresh text from this tool rather than reusing an old draft that may have been normalized by another app. Keep length modest; one character is enough for a blank chat bubble. For longer empty-looking messages, 10 or 50 characters usually looks intentional without triggering spam filters.

WhatsApp FAQ

WhatsApp blocks empty spaces and some zero-width characters. Use Braille Pattern Blank from this tool, paste once, and send. If it still fails, switch to Hangul Filler. Never rely on the spacebar alone — WhatsApp treats that as an empty message.
